Metaroot and Timon Herzog announced that The Farmer Was Replaced is now also available on Steam for macOS, following a highly successful launch that surpassed half a million copies sold. The programming game, which uses a Python-like language, arrives on Apple’s platform accompanied by a 20 percent discount during the Steam Winter Sale, further expanding its reach after version 1.0 achieved over 96 percent positive reviews.

According to the developers, the macOS release responds to repeated requests from the community, which has expressed interest through different channels over the past few weeks. “In recent weeks, we have received hundreds of messages via various channels saying that the community wants a Mac version. Players have even written to us via private emails and messages. We are delighted to be able to respond to these messages by making the Mac build available today.

The title’s proposal is to put players in control of farm automation through programming and the optimization of a drone responsible for daily tasks. “Program and optimize a drone to automate a farm and watch it do the work for you. Collect resources to unlock better technology and become the most efficient farmer in the world. Improve your problem-solving and coding skills.” With the new macOS version, The Farmer Was Replaced expands its player base while maintaining a strong focus on creativity, efficiency, and learning through logic.
