Developed by a team of just three people, Timebound, a time manipulation metroidbrainia, had its demo surprise launched during the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase on May 28. As the trio's first indie project, the title, heavily inspired by Outer Wilds and The Talos Principle, invites players to explore mystical ruins filled with secrets and puzzles built around ancient magic.

The game is developed by Michał Kluz as project lead, Patrycja Sagan-Kluz as art director, and Fabien Calabria as composer and sound designer. One of its standout features is the integration of time travel mechanics into exploration, creating situations where certain paths lead players back to their starting point after only a few steps.

The game encourages players to uncover the rules that govern its world on their own. As exploration progresses, new mysteries emerge in seemingly ordinary places, rewarding careful observation and constant experimentation to reveal secrets hidden in plain sight.

Progression is driven entirely by the knowledge gained throughout the journey. There are no artificial barriers or abilities required to access specific areas. Many situations that appear impossible at first can be solved simply by reinterpreting rules that have already been introduced.

The puzzle systems gradually introduce new concepts about how the world and its temporal magic function. Rather than relying on repetitive tasks, the experience focuses on discovering patterns, connections, and solutions that grow increasingly complex as players deepen their understanding of the environment.

Beyond its core puzzles, the adventure features hidden secrets, metapuzzles, and interconnected challenges that reward attention to detail. The experience also respects different playstyles by offering interactive hints, instant puzzle resets, and the ability to save or load progress at any time.
