Bachware Games has unveiled a new trailer for Chickens Don't Fly, a brutal yet hilarious 2D physics platformer in which players swing their way to freedom as a rooster armed with plungers. Scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2026, the game already has a demo available and will be featured during Steam Next Fest, taking place from February 23 to March 2.

In the adventure, players take on the role of a rooster named 'Cluck Norris', who uses only a pair of plungers to launch himself and swing upward. Precision and timing are crucial, as one wrong move can send him back to the beginning, turning every leap into a true test of skill and patience.

Throughout the journey, a variety of biomes introduce distinct obstacles and increasing difficulty. Each environment challenges the player’s abilities in new ways, demanding constant adaptation to shifting landscapes and full mastery of the mechanics to climb higher and higher.

The world is also inhabited by eccentric coop residents, each offering quests, gossip, or questionable life choices. Helping them or not may reveal why this place feels strange, reinforcing the sense of mystery that surrounds the experience.

Among the main highlights are the physics based plunger grappling mechanics, carefully designed levels that grow more difficult as the climb progresses, challenging yet rewarding gameplay, and a peculiar world filled with secrets and an immersive atmosphere.
