The Made in Brazil Sale, an initiative organized by BitCake Studio in partnership with its collaborators, has surpassed the mark of 1,000 participating games and has established itself as the largest collective visibility action ever carried out for Brazilian games on the Nuuvem and Steam platforms, expanding the reach of national production to diverse audiences around the world.
More than a one time promotion, the event positions itself as an ongoing movement to value the Brazilian game industry. During its run, players gain access to a curatorship dedicated exclusively to titles developed in the country, featuring special discounts and editorial highlights on digital storefronts, strengthening Brazil’s presence in the global market.
This year’s theme, Sabores do Brasil, extends the proposal beyond the screen and connects games to elements of everyday life for Brazilian players. The initiative seeks to bring together the gaming experience and recognizable cultural references, creating an emotional bond that directly reflects local identity.
Quick snacks shared between one match and another, the corner shop coxinha, freshly baked cheese bread, the biscuit recognized by its smell before the package is even opened, all form part of the gaming ritual for many Brazilians. These flavors accompany long sessions, improvised runs, and group play, becoming as present as the keyboard or the controller.
By embracing this cultural perspective, the initiative reinforces that the Brazilian way of playing is not limited to the games themselves, but also includes habits, contexts, and shared memories. The growth to more than one thousand participating games highlights the maturity of the national development ecosystem and the ability for collaboration between studios, platforms, and communities.
The selection brings together projects of different scales and ambitions, ranging from author driven experiences to larger scope productions. Genres such as action, roguelike, horror, strategy, simulation, and cooperative games are represented, reflecting the creative and technical diversity of the Brazilian independent scene.
Among the standout titles of this edition are Atomic Picnic, a cooperative roguelike shooter known for its intense pacing and striking visual identity, Bágdex, a creature capture and training game inspired by classic RPGs and set in a world based on Brazilian fauna and folklore, and Hell Clock, a Rogue Snail project that blends action and RPG with real time combat and a dark setting inspired by historical events in Brazil.
In addition to these highlights, the edition also features games such as Mark of the Deep, Mullet Madjack, and Aviãozinho do Tráfico 3, which was recommended by the creator of Megabonk to compete at The Game Awards. The presence of these titles reinforces the diversity, thematic boldness, and creative strength that define the Made in Brazil Sale as a milestone for the visibility of games produced in the country.
