The independent studio Tale Era Interactive, based in Istanbul, has released a new playable demo of its upcoming first-person shooter roguelike, Holy Shoot. The demo invites players to step into the role of a sacred warrior on a mission to face off against incarnations of the Seven Deadly Sins. Set in a satirical version of hell, players become part of the Sanctum Order, a secret society of holy fighters tasked with recovering ancient artifacts stolen by demonic lords representing each of the sins.

The game blends intense action with strategic depth, offering a diverse cast of angelic characters. Each warrior comes with unique abilities and distinct playstyles, ranging from tech-savvy inventors to seasoned war veterans. This variety enhances tactical possibilities and deepens immersion in the world crafted by the studio.

One of the core highlights is the roguelite-style replayability. Procedurally generated levels, random item drops, and escalating challenges ensure that no two runs are ever the same. This encourages players to constantly adapt and experiment with different approaches during each attempt.

Combat is fast-paced and tactical, rewarding quick thinking and on-the-fly decision-making. Players are pushed to explore various strategies, taking advantage of synergies between divine powers and the reactive environment. Creative use of surroundings becomes essential to survive waves of demonic threats.

In addition to high-octane action, the game embraces a bold visual style and irreverent tone. Humor weaves through both dialogue and level design, offering a playful contrast to the infernal backdrop. Divine powers unleash chaotic, explosive effects that elevate the already frantic pace of battle.

Progression goes beyond individual runs. Between missions, players can strengthen their characters within the Sanctum, a hub where permanent upgrades and narrative choices shape the campaign’s direction. This persistent progression system adds a long-term sense of advancement, encouraging repeated journeys in pursuit of ultimate salvation.
