Daydream Gallery, in partnership with Catoptric Games, has officially launched Trading Card Inspector on Steam. The game puts players in the role of a trading card inspector tasked with verifying the authenticity of dozens of unusual cards in an experience inspired by document checking mechanics, blending humor, investigation, and narrative progression.

In the main campaign, players join Habubis Corporation as its newest inspector responsible for quality control of the company's popular trading card game. As they learn the rules of the job, evaluate cards, and climb the corporate ladder, they become entangled in a story involving friendship, corporate espionage, and even a murder case.

The gameplay centers on carefully examining hand drawn cards, requiring attention to guideline notes, errata memos, reference lists, and other supporting documents. Using this information, players must determine whether each card is valid or invalid, relying on observation and deduction to avoid mistakes during inspections.

Alongside the campaign, the game features an endless mode that expands the experience after progressing through the story. New gameplay modifiers are gradually unlocked, allowing players to create additional challenges while attempting to beat their highest scores and earn in game currency to spend in the company store.

The package includes more than 160 unique hand drawn cards, each accompanied by its own story that can be viewed in the card gallery. This system encourages both collection and exploration of the Habubis Corporation universe, adding a greater sense of discovery throughout the experience.

The visual presentation embraces a distinctive 1 bit art style and offers extensive customization options. Unlockable content includes 40 color palettes, 20 desk patterns, and five helpful desk widgets, allowing players to tailor their virtual workspace to their preferences.
