Tall Tide Games has unveiled a new trailer for Dark Lessons, featuring never-before-seen gameplay footage and a chilling new track composed by Megollyen. In the game, the player is lured into the house of their biology teacher, Agatha Glower, who harbors sinister intentions. The goal is to escape before it's too late. The video was released during the Horror Game Awards Summer Showcase, one of the most anticipated summer events for horror game fans, known for featuring hundreds of trailers, many of them world premieres.
The Horror Game Awards Summer Showcase, held on May 31, 2025, was hosted by Phil Dickens, Ash Millman, and Will Penkeyman. In addition to announcements, the event was accompanied by a dedicated Steam page, allowing players to add desired titles to their wishlists or purchase those already released with special discounts.
Described as a first-person psychological horror game, the title uses low-poly 3D graphics to create a nostalgic and unsettling aesthetic. Players take on the role of unwilling protagonists in a tense and engaging story, exploring environments inspired by Lovecraftian horror traditions.
Gameplay includes narrative-driven puzzles, classic point-and-click mechanics, and inventory and lighting management features. Keeping a functional light source is essential to survive and avoid getting lost in the growing darkness that consumes the setting.
