Dobbel Dungeon, developed by Gamepie, has been awarded the prestigious INDIGO 2025 Award. This innovative game, where players roll dice to save the world from a transformative curse, was chosen by a professional jury from a competitive pool of 26 titles showcased at the event.
The two-day INDIGO 2025 conference took place at the World Trade Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands, bringing together 800 industry professionals, government representatives, and stakeholders. The event featured a packed program with over 30 talks from renowned figures in the game industry, a DISCOVER Showcase presenting 26 new games, and Pitch Perfect sessions highlighting new concepts. The exhibition floor was alive with networking, deal-making through MeetToMatch, and opportunities for old and new connections.
INDIGO has solidified its role as a central pillar of the Benelux game industry ecosystem. Geoff van den Ouden, Chairman of the Benelux Games Promotional Initiative, said: "As INDIGO draws to a close, we can only express our immense appreciation and pride in our game industry community. Seeing 800 people come together from all corners of the world in such a collaborative and positive way, all eager to engage with the Benelux game industry, is the best result we could have hoped for."
During INDIGO 2025, the latest reports on the Benelux game industry were released and discussed. These included the Dutch Games Monitor 2024 and the Flemish 2024 VAF report, both providing valuable insights into the current state and future of the regional game sector.
The conference concluded with the announcement that INDIGO will return in 2026, continuing to support and promote the Benelux game industry. More details about the next event will be available soon on the official INDIGO website.
INDIGO 2025 was made possible thanks to the support of the City of Rotterdam, the Dutch Game Association, and the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), ensuring a successful gathering that celebrates innovation and community in gaming.
