Nova-box, a French indie studio, launched the official Steam page for After the Wane, introducing a rotoscoped visual novel that follows the story of Lena, a young dancer who arrives in the capital in search of her roots while dealing with a mysterious voice in her mind.

While trying to retrace the steps of a mother she never knew, Lena seeks to establish herself as a dancer in the city and becomes entangled in a long standing dispute between dance companies. At the center of this conflict are Fernand, the enigmatic director of a community center, and Deborah, the leader of an exclusive theatre troupe, raising questions about how this rivalry connects to her family past.

Torn between her past and her future, the protagonist must rediscover her own nature and forge a path forward as increasingly strange events unfold around her. Amid the challenges of young adulthood, love and heartbreak, the constant presence of a voice commenting on her every action becomes as unsettling as it is revealing.
