DMT GAMES unveiled a new trailer for Meowstery Wisp, revealing more details about its social deduction experience focused on investigation, bluffing, and reading player behavior, with a full release planned for Q2 2026. The project is designed for groups of 5 to 11 players and unfolds through matches defined by constant tension and collective decision making.
“Meowstery Wisp is a mystery filled social deduction game with a unique twist: no matter how suspicious your friends seem, you can't eliminate them, planned to fully launch in Q2 2026.” This core idea shapes the entire experience by removing early elimination and forcing all participants to live with suspicion until the decisive moments.
Across five rounds, players explore the environment in search of five artifacts that unlock the final phase. During this process, infiltrated spies secretly sabotage the investigation, while an occultist pursues a hidden master plan, creating layers of manipulation, fragile alliances, and competing objectives that are rarely clear at first glance.
Gameplay revolves around moving through the map, observing other players, and investigating points of interest. Clues, Insight points, and Special Powers are discovered through exploration, all contributing to both individual and group analysis. Each action must be completed before the clock fills, yet this system goes beyond a simple timer, as certain actions advance time silently.
Spies play a crucial role in this balance, as they are especially skilled at pushing the clock forward without drawing attention, increasing psychological pressure and chaos throughout the match. This mechanic reinforces a constant sense of urgency and forces the group to make decisions even with incomplete information.
The experience is rounded out by features such as proximity voice chat, cross platform play, and customizable characters, allowing each player to create their own Detective Cat. Diverse maps, an exploration and analysis loop with minigames, hidden alignments, and the absence of elimination until the final phase solidify a design focused on sustained tension and deep social interaction.
